52 Weeks « Read Less
I am going to do a 52 Week Project this year because what else am I doing with myself? If you said "nothing," then you are probably correct. Probably. I will try to tell you stories through little collages and whatever else I upload in this thing to sum up my weeks. TTFN!
49/50: Well That Didn't Turn Out Right
I've been M.I.A again. Mostly I was on an extended holiday because I took the days between Presents Day and New Years off and I really didn't even get on the computer until like, yesterday. The only reason that I actually opened my computer up was so that I could watch some documentary on the internets about these people that are like, IN LOVE WITH ANIMALS. I will leave it at that because of reasons and gross.
Anyway, so for Presents Day, I worked at the restaurant and it was pretty cool. We had vegan lasagna and I ate a piece and took a bunch home. I spent Pre Presents Day with my family and my mom and I drank half a bottle of Jameson in our Irish Coffees. They were delish. I wasn't even drunkies, so that was cool.
We also went and shot things at a shooting range in the mountains. It was super fun. I mostly shot a bowling pin from about 200 yards away. I haven't shot a weapon since I was in the army and it made me feel like I didn't waste my day. My sister shot a clay pigeon that we found on a burr and my nephew shot this really small target. My mom said we could shoot stuff with her when the impending Civil War/Zombie Apocalypse starts.
I also saw Les Miserables with my family and it was really long and Russell Crow shouldn't sing anything, ever.
I also went to a show to watch some old gay hardcore band play. It was at like, 2 p.m, which was weird. Mostly I used to have a thing for the lead singer because he used to be all svelte and stuff and now he's like, all bear-ish, which is cool if you're into that. I got hella merch and a shirt/2 seven inches from one of the opening bands. That band was ACxDC (anti christ demon core) and they were rad. I guess they are like, vegan straight edge powerviolence or something. They were the only good band at that show other than Limp Wrist, IMHO. The other bands were weird and bro-y + high school punk rock and they kinda sucked.
I was supposed to leave town for new year's but mostly I was just lazy and I didn't want to leave little Moo. On NYE, I just rode my bike around and got hella cooking supplies and stuff to make a feast that turned out okay-ish. I tried to make a vegan sausage thing but it came out a little more salty than I like things. I also tried to bake a vegan scramble but that didn't cook right so I fried it and it was nomz. I also made country gravy.
I was drinking a little when I was cooking so once I was done eating, I passed out like at 8 and woke up a little before the stroke of midnight. People were hecka blowing things up and it sounded like my neighborhood was under attack. Moo just stared out the window and then we stayed up till like 3 a.m watching Family Guy. Pretty uneventful.
So that's it. I have no resolutions really, because well, stuff happens. I am just going to keep on trucking, the same as always. I have a few things I need to do and I'll do them, I just need time, which I seem to always be pressed for. I guess we'll see. I am ready for adventures.
Things I want to do this year:
Start home brewing
Shoot more stuff
Work out more because I think it would be funny to be all svelte and then get fat
Bike more (I have the SF to LA bike ride coming up in June)
Go to Hawaii (April)
Go camping/backpacking in Yosemite (hopefully in September)
Passport!
That's it. Thanks for reading and stuff!
